I remember reading once that the cherry trees at the state capital in Utah were cut down after the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. I actually interviewed a Japanese-American woman who had been in Topaz- the Japanese Relocation Camp in Utah- for a history paper I wrote while at the University of Utah. This post is so full of amazing history. Now the Japanese are our greatest alli in Asia.
