Last Day Summer Semester

Well, today is the last day of school for the summer semester and Blake and I are so excited! I could barely sleep the night before the last day of finals because I get too excited! Finals went well!

After I got my finals done, I went to the school bookstore to return my two biology books. For my zoology class I had a lab book and a text book that I had to buy for over $260. I had returned the lab book earlier that week(on Tuesday) with some other text books because I wanted to return them before the bookstore filled their quota. Well, when I tried selling back my zoology book and they said that they couldn't buy it because it didn't have the lab manual with it. I told them that I had sold it earlier that week on Tuesday and no one said anything about selling the lab and lecture book back together. When the cashier told me that they wouldn't give me money back I started to tear up (Remember that I have had a stressful week with little sleep). Then all the ladies in the room started thinking up ways that I could sell back my book. I was suppose to get $142 back from my zoology books. Finally they had me go downstairs to talk with the head hancho guy of Text-Books. When I talked to him, the best he could do was $80 if he ordered another manual to go with the lab book. Then we said that he would go look through the boxes on the day that I sold the lab book and he told me he would call me. An hour and a half later he called and told me he found the lab book. I was so happy! I went back to the school and they bought everything back from me. It was a frustrating process because it seemed like everyone in the bookstore knew about the girl who had sold he lab book back without her text book. LOL
Later that night, I made tin foil dinners and we went up into Kelly Canyon with our friends Scott and Cristine Garrison. We got wood chopped down and I started the fire. There were a lot of cows in our area that evening and they were very loud the whole night! It was quit hilarious. We also shoot Blake's 22 pistol and rifle. Scott and Cristine are good shots! We had an awesome time! Ya for school being done!
I look pretty goofy in this picture...enjoy!

The lighting strikes and the thunder rolls...

We have had some cool thunder storms recently. Blake tried taking some pictures of it. I thought these pictures look cool. I like the bottom of this picture with the head light streaks because it reminds me of Back to the Future.

Independence Day

The next morning we got up and had a super yummy breakfast: pancakes, bacon, hashbrowns, and the best ever eggs!
We then went shooting. We had a few guns to choose from...(all of Blake's friends have multiple guns). Jordon has the coolest 12 gauge shotgun with a pistol grip (it's like the one on No Country for Old Men except without the silencer). We shoot with a 9mm, and a .22. I am a pretty good shoot with the pistol though.

Then we went off-roading in the Rover in Kelly Canyon. Blake and Tyson went up a super steep hill. It doesn't look steep in the picture but it is. Derek, Jen, and I had to get out because there was a ton of stuff in the Rover weighing it down.
Audrey Shillig was kind enough to go on a date with Blake's friend Tyson. We (10 of us) went to Idaho Falls to stake out our spot by the green belt for the fireworks. Then we went on over to Texas Roadhouse for amazing food! I love that place! Derek and Jen couldn't stop throwing peanuts at Tyson and Audrey (poor guys).
I love this picture!
This i us out on the lawn before the fireworks. I have to admit that I was pretty bored with the fireworks this year and I think it was because we were so far away.

Camping

We went camping this weekend with 10 other people near Kelly Canyon. We had a fabulous time! We left after school on Thursday Here is Blake and I with my friend Jen (who I met at a BYU dance camp in 2004) and I set up with one of Blake's friend Derek and they are dating now (I love to match-make)...lol and that is our other friend Mark.

Blake is a stinkin stud and is the camping pro.fes.shion.al.

We had awesome food camping! Tin-foiled dinners, followed by cherry, and blueberry cobbler, and you can't forget the smore action!

I got to sleep in the girls tent with 6 other girls. Me and Jen shared the queen air mattress. Good sleeping. We found this huge moth... I was tempted to fry it up and eat it

Zoology Lab

Well, I was sad to say goodbye to my botany and zoology labs this semester. The last dissection is here with a pig. I loved Fiona, what a great girl she was... very juicy but just sweet as can be. Except I will see her again...on my plate, for dinner.

Don't you love the injected blue liver?
