Thanksgiving weekend!

We had a fantastic Thanksgiving! A family in our ward invited us over to their home. We had an awesome time eating and talking! Oh I love Thanksgiving food, delish! Blake and I had to make our legendary sweet potatoes and swirled chocolate cheesecake.

We watched another Schnauzer this past week named Boone. Apollo and him and too much fun. This makes me want to have another dog!

Blake and I woke up at 4am on Black Friday to get a Christmas tree at Home Depot. We were like 15th in line and we weren't able to get one because they only had like 10 of them! Then, we waited in line at JoAnn's for an hour before they opened up and their doorbuster Christmas tree was pretty pathetic. HAha. So we ended up going to Khol's and buying our first Christmas tree! I love how my front room looks. I wish I could have my Christmas decorations up all year!

On Saturday, Blake and I went to IKEA in Centennial, Colorado for the first time. Wow, it was quit the experience. We were looking for a nice dresser for the nursery and we found one. Later that afternoon we went to Harkins Theater and saw Breaking Dawn. It was good. My back started hurting so bad when the movie started, so for the first half of the movie I laid down. Oh the fun of pregnancy.

I am 37 weeks and three days along! Yesterday I went stir crazy! I just came down with a cold a this week... luckily I can rest. Blake and I are getting so excited for this little nino!

Ok, so any out there Warren Miller fans?

When I was dating Blake he told me I had to go and see the Warren Miller film for the year. I had never heard of it until then.

Car-a-zy but I have been to the past five Warren Miller films! Let me just say that they freakin rock your socks. It's all about watching professional sweetness of skiing and snowboarding doing their thing and traveling all around the world. Last Saturday, Blake and I went with our friends Joe and Jacque to this year's Warren Miller's "Like There's No Tomorrow" in Fort Collins. Watching the film for the new winter season gets me so pumped up! I want to go and shred a mountain right now if I could.

They draw for free prizes... but we didn't win anything... :( Blake almost grabbed some free swag but someone else got it.

I know I have a little chancho bakin inside of me but that won't be the case in five more weeks! But then I have to wait another six weeks before I can go snowboarding... oh it will be worth it.

I seriously love the snow. When it snows, I love how the landscape totally changes. I love how the lights at night reflect off the white and how peaceful it feels. I don't think I could ever live back in the desert. I love the seasons.

The cooler weather feels so good to me... especially being pregnant. I keep the house at 63 degrees during the day. Blake comes home and freezes but I love it (and I tell him we are saving money)! Lol

Update of Awesomeness

Wow, I haven't written in a couple of months. So, obviously we moved! We love our new home and the town that we live in. Our new ward is fantastic. I got called to work with the 8-9 year old girls for Activity Days on Tuesdays, and I am the Relief Society Meeting Coordinator (Aka Enrichment leader). We have an activity the first Thursday of every month. I have loved both callings so far. They have kept me really busy!

In September, we went to Arizona for my baby shower and for my Grandmother Sarager's Birthday. Blake's parents also came to visit us in Colorado. We went to Pike's Peak in Colorado Springs. In October, we went to Idaho for another baby shower and fun with the family. I love that three of my siblings are all going to BYU-Idaho... oh I love that place.

My brother Spencer got his mission call to... Nagoya, Japan! I am so excited for him!

Halloween! Zombie couple. Blake and I won best couple costume. I would have to say that this has been my best costume ever. I am pretty sure some of the kids in our ward were scared of us because they wouldn't take our candy.

We bought both our lovely outfits at Goodwill. We used a drill to put tears in our clothes.

We have had two huge storms this past month, like a foot of snow in 24 hours for each storm. Lots of broken tree branches. A week ago, I pruned our bushes and plants in the backyard for a few hours. I just had so much energy.

This past month, I have been feeling the best I have felt during this whole pregnancy. So many women I talk to hardly get sick at all... luckies!

Can you believe that I am 35 weeks along?! This last picture I am 33 weeks (I think).Crazy business! Blake and I are super excited. My emotions go from excitement to anxiety in minutes. We had a couple of baby classes this last week. I will blog about them.

I am an official Coloradoan now! I have a Colorado Driver's License.

I am going to try to blog more often, so stay tuned!

23 Weeks!

I have been feeling a ton better recently. I am so so so glad.

I have been able to feel the baby move and kick! Last week, Blake and I were watching my brother Fielding and his wife Carissa's music video they made. The song was "Radar" from Britney Spears, and while we were watching the video, I felt the first "solid" kicks from the baby... I guess our baby boy is a Britney Spears lover in the womb... love it!

BOY!!!

Blake and I are so excited! Blake thought it was going to be a girl because both his brothers only have (a) girl(s). I am so excited that it's going to be a boy because I want a little Blake (Blake was the cutest baby!)

It was very apparent on the ultrasound that it is healthy, little boy weighing about 14 ounces. I still can't believe that a little human is growing inside of me.

I am not going to lie. This pregnancy has been the HARDEST, physically, emotionally demanding thing I have ever experienced in my life (and that's saying a lot). I am still not feeling good but my nausea is so much better than the first four months. Like even today, I have been nauseated since 2:30 and I threw up tonight. My stomach hurts on and off everyday.

I seriously don't think I can do this again in the future. I wanted to have as many kids as I could physically and emotionally handle. I am only HALF-WAY through this pregnancy and it's still kicking my butt. When I talk to other mothers, they say you forget about the first part of your nauseated pregnancy. I just don't think I will ever forget how sick I feel. This pregnancy is so MISERABLE... I HATE feeling this way.

Growing up I have had lots of energy to live life. I have always enjoyed being active, working out, and eating lots of food. I still can't go to the grocery store, make food, or be hardly active because of how sick I feel. Just recently (like a month), I have been able to go on walks with Blake in the evenings. I still don't have an appetite and I have to force myself to eat (I gag multiple times everyday when I think, see, or smell certain foods).

I am sorry that I am vomiting all this information, but I just have an emotional need to do so. I mean I really am grateful to be pregnant, don't get me wrong. I knew I would get sick, but it's so much easier said than done. Everyday for the past 5 months, I wake up and stay home. If I feel good then I try to do my little projects around the house. There's no family around, and I do have friends in the ward but it's not the same. It's hard to be sick and be home by myself. Luckily, I have such a loving, supportive husband who is so kind and willing to help me out. My favorite part of the day is when he comes home and we are together.

I know everyone says that this will be worth it but 9 months of sickness really sucks.

I wish this time could go by faster. It's hard to not be able to feel like myself. I have to live one day at a time and look for the positive.

On a side note: Apollo hangs out with me all day. Apollo doesn't like to cuddle me during the day when Blake is gone. But after Blake gets home, Apollo has to sit like on top of me. Apollo gets really jealous when Blake and I sit on the couch together... that always brings a smile to my face no matter what. :)

My oldest niece, Maddy (10), colored this awesome picture! When they gave these pictures to me it melted my heart! They are now proudly displayed on the refrigerator.

These last 3 pictures are from a couple of weeks ago when we went to the Drum Corps International Competition at Invesco Field at Mile High.

During Seattle Cascade's performance, it started to rain and thunder.

We had to wait an hour inside the stadium for the weather to clear up. I started getting super nauseated so we had to leave early... I was so sad!

Next week I find out the sex of our baby!

We might be changing addresses here in a month...

we may have bought our first little home!

Part 3: Vacation in Rexburg, ID

Blake and I purchased a bunch of fireworks in Wyoming before we got to Montana. Wyoming is the best place to buy fireworks because a) they sell them year round and b) they sell fireworks that are illegal in most states like Artillery Shells and Roman Candles (which are Blake and mine's favorite fireworks).

On the 4th of July we shot off most of our sweet fireworks in Montana!

We left some of the Ladybug fireworks to do in Rexburg. When we got back to Rexburg we had a Weimer pizza get-to-gether at the Weimer grandparent's house. (Kim and Jody's family, Dusty and Christy's family and Shane) Blake and I usually play with the kids every time we have a family gathering. We took the kids into one of the potato cellars and played tag.

Afterwards we went back to Lorraine and Daris' house and my sister Christine came over. We shot off the rest of the Lady Bugs and danced the night away!

Montana Vacation Part 2

Blake and I took Emma and went four-wheeling. The mountains are so beautiful here! I wish we could have had more time to go four-wheeling!

We also went and swam at Fairmont Hot Springs. There was a large pool outside that was as warm as a bath tube and a large pool inside. The girls, Blake, and Daris went down the Dragon Slide.

Maddy and I had a ton of fun riding in the car together and taking pictures.

Lauren's under bite is cute. Her family calls her the "Barracuda."

One of the mornings we went to a Sapphire Mine. We got large buckets and then we put the dirt in the sifters.

We had to shake and bounce the sifters in the water so the Sapphires go down to the bottom in the middle.

It was a perfect day and we didn't get eaten alive by mosquitoes luckily!

Shaking the sifters in the water was my favorite part, then flipping it over to find the hidden gems.

Everyone was able to find at least 10 gems a person.

Blake was cute. He would secretly find a gem and then put it back in the pile and tell Emma to look in that pile to find that gem.

The day before we went to the Sapphire Mine we went Crystal Mining. Crystal Mining was another whole experience! When we got out of the car thick swarms of mosquitoes came and attacked us. We all sprayed every inch of our skin with mosquito repellent. Those mosquitoes were RELENTLESS though! (This is why I have no pictures of us Crystal Mining). I ended up going back to the car and tried to take a nap. But everyone eventually gave up after an hour because of the mosquitoes. In this mining, you had to dig in previous wholes to find the crystals.

After mining for crystals, we drove to a Ghost Town right down the rode. (I ended up taking my much needed nap while everyone walked through the Ghost Town... man pregnancy makes me so tired!)

LEWIS AND CLARK CAVERN

Day One:

Lewis and Clark Cavern! In the afternoon we went to the Lewis and Clark Cavern

(about 1 hr from Butte, Montana)

This is us finally leaving the long tour of the cave.

These are cool features of the cave.

The cave had some pretty steep parts to it. The CCC back in the 30s created the stone steps and blasted parts of the cave. If you notice, lots of the stalagmites and stalactites have been broken apart. The first tour guide of the cave, Morrison, allowed his guests to take a piece of the cave with them as a memento or souvenir. Obviously, that is not allowed today, but there is a lot of damage to cave formations from the early tours of the cave.

There were lots of bats in the beginning of the cave.

We also had some annoying people in our tour group that made our tour even more interesting.

This is Blake's brother Shawn, and his wife Candice with their 3 beautiful girls.

There was this Asian couple that made the group wait at every stopping point because they were taking a gazillion pictures. Before we left the cave, the couple started walking back from where we had come from. The guide lady had to go back and get them. LOL

Before we got into the cave, we had to hike up the mountain. It was a surprisingly hot day in Montana, and we all sweated like beasts. I fortunately took a nap before this hike (it's hard being pregnant!)

Before we left for the tour there was a sign that read:

This is a 2 Mile, 2 Hour Tour.

We were all surprised we all didn't have to sign some liability form (after we did the tour); it was pretty strenuous and people could get hurt and get stuck in the cave (if you weren't small enough).

Hey but it's Montana we are talking about here... this state is pretty dang chill.

We stayed in Fairmont Chalet Cabins. Apollo came with us too. He was very entertaining for the kids to chase around. Lauren followed him around and called him "Pillow Pet."

Friday morning we are heading to Rexburg, Idaho! I am so excited to go on vacation and see some family! (Oh I miss family!)

I have been feeling generally a lot better during the days this week. I just want to say that I am truly grateful that I am pregnant (even though I talk a lot about how sick I have been). Blake and I have wanted to start a family for a long time. We had to get outside help from fertility clinics to get where we are today. I am truly thankful for modern medicine.

Mutton Bustin

On Friday I went to the Doctor and got 2 bags of IV to see if that would help my nausea. I was throwing up all morning. I usually can't keep stuff down in the evening so this morning thing was new territory. I am not sure if the IV bags helped or not.

Saturday: 9am - Woke up ate breakfast

9:20 - Threw up said Raisin Bran breakfast

9:45 - Round 2 of breakfast fruit (stayed down!)

I have been looking on craigslist for a used crib to buy. I found the one that I really wanted and we went to Loveland and bought it! (My first baby purchase!)

Apollo got his hair cut in the above picture. The lady trimmed his beard a little too short. Now he looks like he has a sweet Mustache! He kinda looks like our little Nacho Mexi Dog now. So cute!

I really wanted to go somewhere fun on Saturday (whether I was feeling up to it or not) and we went to Greeley's Stampede Rodeo.

We ate yummy food, watched guys throw axes, listened to awesome country bands, and watched Mutton Bustin in the Park. The Mutton Bustin was the best part. Anyone with kids that weighed 55 lbs. or less could get on a lamb and ride it for as long as they could hold on. Man some of these kids could barely even walk, let alone ride these sheep.

Forest Love

Blake and I ventured out to the Forest this past weekend. We went on a hike and shot our pistol and long rifle 22s.

Apollo loves hiking on the trails. That's his happy dog face.

Last week we went to the doctor's office for a checkup and we got to hear the baby's heart beat. Blake was like, "that sounds like a spaceship!"

The doctor also gave me some new nausea drugs to try out called Reglan and Phenegren. The Reglan has helped my sickness a ton! Hooray! I have only been throwing up once a week now which is awesome!

I love my Blake so much! He takes such good care of me and makes me laugh my freakin guts out.

We saw these flowers, I think they are honeysuckles? They are so beautiful!

This isn't a very good picture but I finished my paint-by-numbers! I think it turned out really good.

This has been a really wet spring/summer here in the Fort. We have had cray hail storms.

And the Beat Goes On...

So here I am at thirteen weeks, almost the end of the first trimester. Not really showing but definitely thicker in the middle. And still sick, sick, sick.

Blake and I have new callings in our ward! We team teach the 15, 16, 17 yr. old youth in Sunday School. Yesterday was our first lesson and it was really fun. I am really excited to be able to go to Relief Society now. I missed it when I was in primary!

On Saturday, we went to the Reservoir by our house. We wanted to go shooting but my sickness from my pregnancy prevents us from having too much fun unfortunately! But it will be worth it ... right?

The last picture is of us at Rocky Mountain National Park on Memorial Day. That trip had some super curvy roads.

I haven't been able to go grocery shopping for a couple of months now. Blake wanted me to go grocery shopping with him a couple of days ago and I told him it wouldn't be a good idea. I went with him anyway and I was gagging in the store. As soon as I left the store I threw up...HAHA I really do not like food and food still doesn't like me. (The kitchen is my worst enemy) :)

I am at home mostly all day now keeping myself entertained. I have been watching LOST on Netflix and I am thoroughly enjoying the craziness of it. I finished my Paint By Numbers and I will have to get a pic of it.

Hi from the AZ

Good morning....

it's 3:22 am Arizona time and I have been up for the past two hours.

I have had a throbbing migraine that is finally starting to go down. For my migraines I can take Tylenol and Caffeine (that's why I can't go to bed yet, I'm a little too buzzed). I have been lucky in this pregnancy in that I haven't had migraines... until this past week. :( My doctor said that chronic migraine sufferers usually get a break from migraines during pregnancy. So wish me luck that I won't get them too often!

This week has been wonderful being in Arizona with my mom, dad, and brother Spencer. I love being home and having my wonderful mom take care of me. I only threw up once this week! Hurray!

Spencer's High School Graduation was really fun to go to. I love my youngest brother, he is so nice and has a really fun personality.

Later this morning I am going back home to Fort Collins to be home with Blakey and Apollo! :)

9 Months of Joy, Excitement, and Nausea

Guess what? We are pregnant!

I am now over 9 weeks and enjoying every second of being sick. HAHA

I am nauseated from the time I eat breakfast until I fall asleep at night. Being sick all day is really a whole lot of fun! :)

My lovely husband is kind enough to make simple foods for me. I can't watch him eat his normal food; there is way too much aroma going on! I wish I could have an IV stuck in my arm all day so that I wouldn't have to eat (this is coming from the food monster).

We are SUPER DUPER excited about having our first child!

We had our first ultrasound this week and we saw our little jelly bean movin and shakin. I loved having the ultrasound because it really confired something was growing in there and we didn't have to just rely on a stick that I peed on. :)

So our baby is going to be born within mine and Blake's birthdays (and Christmas all within a month!)

Blake and I always joke that we should start celebrating our half birthdays so we can spread the gifts around (we might have to start that tradition).

Other News:

Blake is going to Cleveland for a week of Fanuc Robot training and I am heading to good ol' G-town in AZ! My youngest brother Spencer is graduating high school while I am there! Woot Woot!

Once again we are really excited about our little nino! (the first picture of Blake and I is a reminder to myself that I will feel normal again someday) ;)

Anniversary Weekend Get-A-Way

Blake and I went to the Denver Temple Friday evening.

We are so super excited that a temple is going to be built right here in Fort Collins!

We stayed at the Sheraton Hotel in downtown Denver.

On Saturday, we walked down the 16th street mall.

We then went to the Zoo. We had an awesome weekend!

I beat Blake in chess...Yes!

The pool was on top of the roof in between skyscrapers. Talk about sweet.

I am so excited for warmer weather in Colorado this year!

Last weekend, Blake, Joe, Jacque, and I went to the CO Rockies vs. AZ Diamond Backs opening season game. even though I now live in CO I will always be a D-Backs fan. At the game I was one of the few people rooting for my beloved AZ team (I think a lot of peeps wanted to throw something at me :). Unfortunately, D-Backs lost by 2 feet (so close to a home run!) and 2 points. Final Score: 3 to 1.

This was Blake's first professional game and he loved it! (He's from Idaho, they don't got no good teams

to watch...only Boise football)

On another note...

Wasn't General Conference wonderful?

I CANNOT believe that they are going to build a temple right here in this town! We are SUPER excited! There's something so special about the process of a temple being built in your area. Now all the places I have lived, have a temple or are building a temple.

What an awesome blessing to have the temple be so close!

Timmy it's time for Dinner!

So, I was over at a friend's house last week and I noticed that she had written all the meals that she was going to make for the week. I asked her about her meal planning and she said it was the hardest part of her week to sit down and figure out what to make for dinner.

Now I am no Master Chef. But I have tried a few times in the past to schedule meals for the whole week on Monday. This week I felt pumped to try it again.

I came up with my recipes from Home and Gardens Cook Book.

Monday night I made Balsamic Vinegar Beans and Spaghetti Squash. Blake and I did not really like the texture of the Spaghetti Squash but the Beans were delish. We had the beans on rice for lunch on Tuesday (and that was a lot better). I even bought myself a pressure cooker to cook up good beans.

Did you know the combination of beans and rice give you just as much protein as meat? And they are cheaper and very healthy!

Anyways... talking about food...

I shop at Albertsons. They have been doing this monopoly game thing where you get so many tickers after you buy your groceries. Then you put them on the game board and once you collect all the tickets for a prize you win.

Guess who won a Wii?!?!

And plus the tickets come with coupons to use in the store (I have gotten lots of free stuff!)

HAHA Anyways, I like getting good deals. I want to start using coupons more.

How do you get good deals at stores? Any tricks of the trade I need to know?

Blake and I have been mattress shopping for a couple of months.

The first bed we got was a queen ( I didn't want a king because I wanted Blake to be as close to me as possible :)

Since Apollo sleeps on the bed with us, he takes up a third of the room! So with many restless nights for Blake being squished off into oblivion, we were forced to take action.

We wanted a king bed so that are little black monster wouldn't bother us. We got this bed on clearance because it was a discontinued style ($1400 to $650). The owner said that we robbed them (that's what I like to hear) . This mattress has a 5 in. pillow top! Woot!

Apollo has been getting more playful with us. He likes to wrestle me and Blake everyday.

On Saturday we went to the City Park in Denver. The grass was covered in goose poop.

Blake and I watched "Hubble 3-D" at the IMAX.

AMAZING

After we moved to Fort Collins I started finding new places to run. One day I was jogging down the road with Apollo and this large, husky dog started barking at us... on top of the roof.

No lie.

I think I died laughing.

When Christine came into town, we did a drive-by-shooting of this cutie up on the roof.

Happy Birthday Relief Society!

I really enjoy reading what Sis. Beck talks about. In the March Ensign she talks about how important families are. She writes in such simplicity that it cuts right into my heart. She is currently the President of the largest and oldest women's organization in the world called Relief Society.

Blake apprehended this bike to get away from the cops (he was jay walking)... Blake took this bike apart and gave it new life!

Glacier National Park is really da bomb. (Oh ya there's a funny side story involving my dog running away from the pet's sitters house for 3 days and her not telling me...long story) Glacier is spectacular!

We went on a 3 day rafting trip with Fews and Co (Blake's cute friends). Guess who that girl is not in the raft...

We're Back!

I haven't posted a blog in a while but here is an up date. Blake and I have moved to Fort Collins Colorado and are just loving every moment. Blake is working at Wolf Robotics and I am a stay at home mother and take care of my handsome dog. We live in a house with a back yard which is super nice for the dog to run around and have his play time without us having to talk him on a walk. Our ward is super nice and friendly. I am always doing something with the ward which is nice.

This last week we had Christine fly out and keep me entertained while Blake was on a business trip in Illinois. Christine and I went to the dog park which Apollo loves because he gets to run around with all of his furry friends. He loves it when other dogs chase him because he can out run anyone on the block.

This is Denver Colorado. We are at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science where we saw science and animal exhibits.

We found this pirate and we made him give us all his gold so now we are rich forever! We even have a nice ship now so maybe we can do a family cruise this summer. How fun would that be.

Teton Creek

On Memorial Day, Blake, Christine, Apollo, and I drove to Teton Creek. On our way there, we met some people who got their car stuck in the snow. Luckily we had a shovel to help dig them out. You might ask, "There is still snow?" And my reply to you is YES! There is still a ton of snow in the mountains. Most of the time we hiked we were on snow. Christine and I wore snow shoes for the first time on a part of the trail.

Blake climbed up this rock and saw a big, red fox about 10 feet away from him. Christine and I didn't see it...dang it.

On our way back, as were were taking a picture, we saw as Moose just right off the trail. This trip was the first hiking trip for Apollo. He did alright, but on the way back he kept stopping because his little feet were cold and he was shaking. He had to carry him a part of the way back...LOL

It was a beautiful day in the Tetons and we can't wait to do lots more hiking this summer.

Afterwards, we made a camp fire at Eagle Park and roasted hot dogs with Fielding and his new girlfriend. Of course we had smores.

Grandma Weimer's 81st Birthday!

Apollo's 1st Birthday!

It was Apollo's Birthday on May 29th. He is 1 Year old!I haven't written anything about Apollo but we got him in December in Arizona. The owners sold him because they thought he wouldn't make a good show dog because he is not aggressive. He didn't bark for the first four months that we had him. He use to shake in the corner and not want anyone to touch him. He is a lot more friendly now.

Blake and I love our mini-Schnauzer...actually we are not sure he is because we took him to PetsMart last week and they say he doesn't look like one but he is some kind of terrier.
He is my buddy and he keeps me company when Blake is doing homework and out of the house.

Apollo's favorite activities:

Running - He loves to run at the park. He only has one speed = fast
Playing with other dogs
Sleeping - It's a dog's life
Eating - (who doesn't?)
Sleeping on our bed after we have gone to sleep

Hi everyone! I don't know if you have even noticed but I haven't written in my blog since Memorial Day of last year...yikes. I just kind of stopped writing because I didn't put any time aside to update my blog. Since my last blog update here is a BRIEF outline of what I have been up to:

Summer 2009
Took my last BYU-I classes on campus. I "walked" in July and my family came up here. WE went canoeing in Island Park, Ice Caving, camping at Yellowstone Park...
Blake and I went to central Idaho and camped at Red Fish Lake; boating and cliff jumping
Blake, Lorraine, Daris, and I went to Portland, Oregon. We went camping by Astoria (Goonies Land) were we went fishing on the Columbia and the ocean were I caught my first salmons! I am officially hooked on this sport (haha)
We went to Jackson Hole, Wyoming and stayed in a cabin at Togowatee by the Tetons and went four-wheeling.
Fielding and Christine both came up to school in Rexburg during Fall semester and we had them over for dinner and playing. We did lot of fun stuff together: Blackfoot fair (milked goats), off roading, parties...
I student taught in Dubois, Idaho! It was a 50 minute commute to the middle of nowhere. It was a very stressful but good experience. I taught 6th grade science, 7th grade Life Science, 10th grade Biology, and 11th grade Environmental. There is so much that happened this semester!!!
October: Went to Florida with the Weimer family for a week to Disney World (Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot! Amazing vacation! Blake and I also went to Universal Studios.
Thanksgiving: Brandon, Amber and Shawn, Candice and their cute girls came down. We went swimming, sledding, and had Rock Band Fun!
Had my 23rd Birthday! Made Gingerbread Houses
I got offered a job to work at the Jr. High in Rexburg. I am a Para-Professional (Resource Aid) for kids with IEPs. I like my job.
Blake works at the Middle School for the after school program called Lego Robotics. He has a team and they have a challenge to make a lego robot that has to go through this obstacle and they have a big competition against other schools. They did good for their first year!
Fielding, Blake and I got Season Passes to Grand Targhee and we go Snowboarding/Skiing almost every week.
Christmas Vacation: Fielding, Christine, Blake and I drive to Orem and hand out with Seth, Larkie and Jordan. Drive down to Las Vegas, pick up Spencer form the airport, walk around downtown, spend time the the Christiansons as their mission home, play some mad ping-pong. Drive to LA and spend the night for a few days at Larkie's brother's house. We went to Six Flags, and then the next day we went to Santa Monica Pier. Drive home. Christmas was amazing! Played lots of games in the warm sun.
Saw two of my best friends Sara and Katie twice during the trip!
Got a new dog after Christmas, a black mini schnauzer, from Tonopah (an 1 hour 15 min. away)
Drove home to Idaho.
Celebrated Blake's 25 Birthday!!
Went skiing at Sun Valley Idaho.
Went snowmobiling to Red Butt in the Big Hole Mountains with Daris and Lorraine
Went skiing with lots of my family at Sundance, Utah.

Seth, Larkie, and Jordan came down for the weekend to hang out with us. We went to the park and then we decided to go off roading. We went to the Cinder Pitts and everyone got to drive. Jordan had the best time though being thrown around in her car seat; she is such a trooper.

We drove up the south butte and into the middle of it. We found an abandoned zip-line. Blake had the great idea of hooking up his towline onto the hook, the other rope and board attached looked pretty old. The zip line was super fun.

On Monday we went and looked at the graves of Blake's relatives. We went to Idaho Falls and had a picnick by the falls. We had an AWESOME time with Seth, Larkie, and Jordan. You are always welcomed back here and anyone else who wants to visit!

I have been terrible at posting this summer so far. I haven't been taking as many pictures as I would like too. Blake and I have been super busy with school and work. Here are some pictures from our first campout of the year.

This is in the Big Hole Mountains (early May) and there was still a lot of snow on the ground. Tyson helped us realize how much snow there was when he got stuck and we pulled him out. We camped on the edge of the forest. The best part of the trip was that I slept like an angel! No one else did though. You have to love warm Nalgene bottles.

Hey everyone! I hope all is going well! Blake and I are back into the swing of school (we are almost done with our third week of Spring semester). We are keeping plenty busy. I am working at Beehive Federal Credit Union starting at an early 5:30 cleaning. I work with the sweetest girl. I am taking my last two classes: Plant Systematics, World Religion, and trying to get my Online Endorsement. Blake is taking Thermodynamics, Physics, Welding, Racquetball, and World Religion...way too much fun.

Rexburg decided to have a very late spring this year...even later than last year. Today the wind has been blowing over 40 mph...so exciting. I am waiting for our apartment to blow over.

Wednesday morning we went right to the American History Smithsonian.

It is so beautifully ornate and I wish I lived there so I could get a library card and do some research. Blake and I snuck into a tour group to see the main entrance hall... I loved it!

We went to my cousin's apartment literally right across from the National Gallery of Art right downtown. We got to hang out with Matt and Corie; it was so good to see them both! We would have taken some better pictures but we had to hurry to catch the bus. :)

Dc Trip - Tuesday

Blake and I found a commuter bus system that left from Virginia to DC. We were at the bus station by 7:30am every morning for our 1 1/2 ride. It wasn't too bad. We slept most of the time because we were on our feet all day.

On Tuesday morning we decided to head back to the Natural History Smithsonian so that we could look at the rest of the museum before the huge crowds came. I absolutley loved this museum! I could have been there for days...LOL

This is the Hope Diamond - the biggest blue diamond in the world.

This display is showing the comparative anatomy of our closest relatives. I had to get a picture so that I could show my biology class someday.
I just like this turtle skeleton. Cool huh?

We got to hold Australian Walking Sticks. It was so cool!

Blake (isn't he super cute?)I loved all of the bugs at the museum. They had an awesome section talking about human forensics... I am totally a sucker for these kinds of things.

By lunch time we waited out the National Archives for about 1 1/2 hours. We got use to waiting in huge lines for everything. The building was really pretty. They only allow so many people in the rotundum at a time.

Iwo Jima Momument

White House Easter Egg Roll (sorry there are a lot of pictures of the White House, just deal with it). We had to wait in line for a couple of hours before they let our group in. You cannot get this close to the White House anymore (because of 9/11) but this event allows you to get on the lawn.

The White House! I think I saw Obama's daughters running around outside...The White House Easter Egg Roll was crazy! There were a ton of people there. You had to have tickets to go and a child under ten. We had a special system of getting into the event :)
There were lots of activities for the kids to do.

DC Trip - April 11, 2009

Saturday morning we went to South Riding's Easter Egg Hunt (town sponsered) where Paige (age 4) and Dillon (18 months) participated in the tradition of finding eggs or as you can see in the background filling up their baskets as quick as possible.

Of course Blake and I wanted our neice to get as many eggs as possible. When the alarm sounded we ran out and started helping her fill up her basket with eggs. We soon realized that supply was way higher than demand. Paige got lots of goodies and trinckets (stickers and stuff you throw away after a day). I love that when you are a kid every little thing you acquire has value to you no matter how junky it is.

After the Egg Hunt we loaded the kids up and headed to DC. We first went to the Natural History Smithsonian and I think everyone and their mom was there. It was crazy crowded even though it is a huge museum. This was one of my favorite Smithsonians hands down (we went back on Monday as well). You could spend days in just one Smithsonian to read everything. Since I am a Biologist I had studied a lot of the topics on display.

I could write pages of what we saw and read but I am sure I would bore you to death.

Good Friday April 10, 2009: 1st Day of Washington DC Trip

Blake and I finished our last two finals on Thursday and got on the road by early evening. We drove to Seth and Larkie's house in Orem and stayed the night with them.

They were so kind to take us to the SLC airport the next day. We flew to the Chicago O'Hare Ariport; we both have never been there before and we were suprised at how modern the architecture was. This picture is in once of the underground tunnels and the lights swayed back and forth. The side panels remind me of the paint samples you get at Home Depot. This is still at the Chicago O'Hare Airport (sorry I have lots of pictures of this trip so please bare with me-you definitly don't have to read it all or at all).

We had to take this picture of the dinosuar (Lol I wasn't able to get it's head).
We then flew to the Dulles, VA airport where Kirk (our brother-in law) picked us up. We stayed at Kirk and Shelly's home for the remainder of the trip. They were the best hosts and we had a blast with them and their two cute kids!

Hey Everyone!
Blake and I survived Finals... Hooray!

We flew out Friday to Washington DC and are staying with Blake's sister Shelly in Virginia with her husband Kirk and their two kids Paige (4) and Dillon (18 months).

We had an Easter Egg hunt this morning (community sponsered) and then we went to the Natural History Smithsonian in DC. It was a blast! We are going to be here all week. I will post pictures as soon as I can.

Murder Mystery Dinner

Welcome to the last train ride out of Paris in 1940 before the Nazi's invade. Accompanied on our ride are:

1.) The Duke - comes from a royal family and is a military hero with secret hate for a certain someone
2.) Belinda - the sweet but vicious seamstress who has more motives than her tomato of pins
3.) Wey - a British airplane flyer who may not always come up to par and may be in the black market
4.) Mary - the hottie, tottie writer who elaborates her stories to make readers more interested
5.) Mal - an unknown business man from the US and has very suspicious activities
6.) Barbara - the rich, spoiled, beauty who's father is the perfume king; she is not as innocent as she looks
7.) Khover - a business agent... or a secret agent working for the black market?

8.) Princess Idelle - a strong willed princess who is the only heir to her country Tchairly. Does she only want to protect herself?It was our mission to determine who Fiona's killer was. We had courses of dinner and rounds of the game with new information about ourselves and everyone else.

We all had a blast and eveyone got into their characters.

This is the third year Blake and I have taken the BYUI class for snowboarding and skiing. We love it and look forward to it every week. We finally took some pictures this season.
This is our last day going to Grand Targhee this season! This is us on the bus.

From the main lift we ride over to the edge of the resort. There, you take off your equipment and hike. Boy it's a work out at that altitude! It is very rewarding though. This place is called Mary's.

BJ's Bayou

We traveled to little Roberts, Idaho to go to a famous restaurant - Louisiana style! The restuarant is in an old hotel and they have 2 abondoned alligators. The food was amazing! We had gumbo, Creole, Etouphe (I spelled that wrong), and alligator tail meat (very chewy and fishy). We went with Joe and Mychelle. Good times and amazing food!

All I can say is Woot Woot for a three day break/two day holiday weekend!

On Friday night Blake and I went to a modern dance company, BodyVox, performance on campus. They were a fun company from Portland, OR and they had the funniest dance videos.

In the morning I made a nice breakfast for my hubby. Later on in the morning, Blake came with me on my 6 mile run. We ran to the Nature Park and watched dozens of ducks and geese from a couple feet away. It was so romantic.
We went to Idaho Falls to go to Texas Roadhouse. The wait was 75 min (it was a mad house filled with people to the brim). So we headed to Teton Raceway and Sportsman's Warehouse to kill time. We went back to TRH and they called our name about 75 min. later, I was impressed. The food is amazing there and I was super stuffed. Afterward we headed back to the Burg.
I love dancing and going to dances. We went to a Valentine's Day dance at the Hinckley Gym. We were like one of three married couples there but I could seriously care less. We had fun just the two if us. I was so tired! We danced all crazy like and took lots of candy...hehe

The last song we danced to was "My Love" by Justin Timberlake (that's our song). Blake is a so much fun at dances; I am glad he humors me and has fun. We had a wonderful Valentine's Day together. We got engaged two years from today! Blake made me an engagment video for Vday last year(the proposal was secretly taped) and we watched it again tonight (he put it in). So cute!

R.S. Sleepover

I went to a Relief Society sleepover at one of the counselor's parent's house in Iona (Blake and I attend a Singles Ward on Campus because he is in the bishopric). This house is big and beautiful. I wish I took pictures of the inside because this picture does no justice. We played Sardines and watched Hitch. I had so much fun getting to know all of these girls.In the morning, some of the guys came over and Bishop and we had a big breakfast. Then we went out in their backyard for a little shooting. We shot clay pigeons and rifle/piston targets. I actually shot really well. I got about 75% of all the clays thrown and I beat an Idaho boy at a fast shooting contest. He was a good sport. LOL It was a blast even though my feet froze for being out there for a couple of hours.

I planned on a surprise birthday for Blake. But since we live in a little apartment and you can hear phone conversations from anywhere...he pretty much knew what was going on before it happened. But he pretended to be surprised anyway. We played Partini, a new game I got him, with a bunch of Blake's friends from Rexburg.
I made him a Huckleberry Cheesecake but I added a little too much "extra stuff" to it and it was not as good as it usually is. LOL

This is Blake's face from a copier machine. I love it.

Blake has been so excited to get Vexplorer for his birthday. It is a remote control robot that has wheels with a video camera and claws. We put it together and it is pretty cool.

Christmas morning! This is Jordan's second Christmas! I love her pajamas and hair.
We all had a wonderful Christmas morning being together as a family, celebrating the birth of our Savior. We had a nativity on Christmas Eve that was hilarious (Jordan played little baby Jesus). She kept trying to walk away; she was so cute!

This is crazy Christine ( I left the picture sideways because I thought it was a better effect). :)

We had to go to Cherry Lane and look at the Christmas lights. P.S. I love Larkie's nightgown with her jeans on.

It is a Sarager tradition to go to Usery Park and cook hot dogs and smores. We also sang some camp songs.

We went to Christine's Varsity basketball games. They played in the Nike tournament and their team did well. Christine shot over 20 points in one game! Christine is a beast!

Blake and I are back at school again for BYU-I's winter semester! This is my last full semester here! Woot Woot! I am way excited! School is keeping us busy and I know I won't be able to blog as much as I would like to.

I am taking some pretty fun classes like snowboarding (3rd year now with Blake) and a guitar class. I have always wanted to learn how to play and the teacher is really talented. Yesterday, Blake and I went to Grand Targhee and it was a beautiful sunny day.

I am taking a really interesting class on Evolutionary Analysis. Do you believe in evolution or anything like it? Do you not believe in it? I am interested in your comments. I have my own theory (that is changing and molding) that I will post later on this semester (whether right or wrong). I just want to see what you know about evolution and how it fits into your belief system.

Yes it is time of year for the eventful Ski/Snowboard trip with willing friends and family! We once again went to Big Sky, Montana from December 16-19. All in attendance: Derek and his girlfriend Jen, Jordan, Blake, and I.
The top picture is of our hotel room in the Huntley Lodge. There are two queens on the first floor and the stairs lead to another bed upstairs. There is also a little couch area/ eating area with a huge window view of the ski slope. The Huntley Lodge is at the base of the ski lifts, so we just walk right out the doors to the lifts.

Now let me remind you that Big Sky is the largest resort in America. It is huge and there are more than 19 different lifts with more than 3,812 acres! It is a skiers dream come true!

It is so beautiful here! As we were driving to Big Sky, temperatures reached negative 19 degrees in Island Park. It was a pretty cold week but Blake has prepared me for the cold weather. There are lots of pictures so be prepared.

Jen and I are CRAZY!

The crew eating at Chet's Bar and Grill. We were there for the end of the crazy Austrian brother's performance. Good times!

Jen was so kind to make me a surprise chocolate crock pot cake for my birthday! How sweet is that?!

This is Blake and I at the restaurant. This was the cheapest place we could find to eat. We made sandwiches for all the lunches and we made dinners for the first two nights. It was scrum-didly-umscious.

We all got to ski for three days while relaxing at night, playing games, and watching movies (courtesy of Events Services).
The snow was pretty good with powder stashes to find.

Of course we had to hot tub it up as much as we could. Being out on the slopes, we got sore and tired.

This is Blake and I on top of Lone Peak Triple Lift. I am so glad I have been taking snowboarding lessons so that I can stay up with Blake. Blake got a new get up for tele-ing and the skis worked out great.

We also took a ride up in the Lobe Peak Tram but we didn't have our camera with us. We only looked around at the top. There is no way I could ski the top of Lone Peak (its super rocky, double blacks). Blake, Derek, and Jordan can ski down it but I still value my life.

Thursday morning Blake, Derek, and I were out on the slopes. We decided to go farther east to some other lifts. We were going to meet at the bottom of Challenger from the run we were currently at. Derrek got ahead of us and was not in our eye sight. Blake and I got to the bottom of Challenger and waited 20 minutes for Derek because we thought he might have made a wrong turn. We talked to the ski lifty and he told us were our friend might have gone. Blake and I took off toward Moonlight Basin (a joint ski resort with Big Sky) to see if Derek went down there. The trail down to the Pony Express lift (in Moonlight Basin) was a pretty flat cat-trail so I had to skate my way down (definitely a negative for snowboarding). When we got there, Derek was not there and we realize that the lift is not open. A guy walks out from a building right by the lift and asks us if we were meant to come down this way. Well, to make a long story short, they got a shuttle to come pick us up to take us back to Big Sky. Blake and I thought we coud hike it but it is a 4 mile hike back to the base area... we were on the other side of the mountain.
We got to Big Sky probabely 45 minutes later and still no call from Derek. Blake had his phone but Derek didn't. Blake and I hit the trails hoping we would run into Derek. But as big as the resort is we knew we had little chance of running into him. Come to find out later that Derek had gone back to the Base Area but went back to where he thought we were at. It was pretty funny.

Graham Cracker Houses

Making gingerbread houses is one of my favorite traditions to do every year. It's not just the fact that there is a ton of different candy to eat (it's like a second halloween) but that I can become as creative as I want to be. Brett, Liz, and little Avery (almost 2 months) came over for the extravaganza.
I made a cathedral with a bell tower.

Brett made... a real big house thingy with lots of rooms. Pretty cool wreath huh?

Blake always makes the most creative house. He made a barn with a rooster, a lion, and a horse. That is pretty dang sweet!

Baby Avery is so stinkin CUTE!

Liz made a cute house with a bow tied-wreath. Now that is pretty creative!
